The production of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks is a highly technical and automated process that transforms a precise mix of raw materials into a lightweight, durable building product. The manufacturing begins with the careful preparation and computer-controlled dosing of key ingredients, which typically include fly ash or finely ground sand, cement, lime, gypsum, and water. Crucially, a small amount of aluminum powder is added to the slurry mix. Once poured into large molds, the aluminum powder reacts with the alkaline components to release hydrogen gas, causing the mixture to expand and foam significantly, creating millions of tiny, insulating air pockets—this is the aeration that makes the block lightweight. After this pre-curing phase, the semi-solid mass, known as a ‘green cake,’ is precisely cut into individual blocks using automated wire-cutting machines.
We design, manufacture, and install fully automated AAC Block Production Plants with capacities from 100 CBM to 500 CBM per day.
